The Flash: The Tornado Twins is a novel written by Barry Lyga. This is the final book of the trilogy that explores an alternate continuity where Flashpoint never occurred.

Synopsis

BARRY ALLEN HAS RUN TO MANY PLACES, AT speeds not humanly possible, into the past and across the multiverse. But now he has to do the impossible: run into the future. To the sixty-fourth century, to be exact, where he must uncover Hocus Pocus's secrets and face the evil Abra Kadabra.

Meanwhile, on Earth-1, in the present, Kid Flash continues to investigate Earthworm, hoping to stop him before he strikes again. Plus, the team has to band together to try to save Barry's job at CCPD.

Good thing Team Flash believes that the impossible is just another exciting challenge.

Notes

• In this book, Barry learns the existence of another timeline with his own multiverse and learns about the consequences of Flashpoint such as Savitar.
  • When Barry faces Abra Kadabra for the first time, Kadabra told him if he has discovered Savitar's true identity. This proves that the "future" Barry is visiting is actually the one of Earth-1 from the show's continuity.
• This is the first title of the trilogy where the main antagonist isn't in the title.
• The novel introduces the Tornado Twins, Don and Dawn, who in the comics are the children of Barry and Iris.
  • When Barry meets Don and Dawn, they politely refuse to disclose their family name, hinting to the possibility that the twins are descendants of Barry.
    • Compared to the comics they aren't directly Barry's children, this is further proven by the fact that the twins currently have parents.
  • Despite being the novel title, the twins don't play an important role at all.

  • "THINKER STRIKES AGAIN!", reflecting the events of Therefore She Is if not the event prior in The Flash: Green Arrow's Perfect Shot.
  • "ELONGATED MAN SOLVES LOCKED ROOM MYSTERY", which hasn't happened yet. However, since Ralph Dibny has been introduced in the show's continuity, this story's events could occur in an upcoming episode. It is unknown if Ralph Dibny is the Elongated Man in this timeline since he is currently deceased in this continuity.
  • "KID FLASH JOINS TEEN TITANS". The headline references the Teen Titans in the DC Comics, which Wally West/Kid Flash was a founding member of. It may also mean that the group will appear someday in the Arrowverse.
