Phillip Karnowsky, also known as Vigilante, is a former member of Intergang and a drug runner of X-Kryptonite.

Intergang[edit | hide]

At some point, Karnowsky donned a costume and operated as "Vigilante", working for the Intergang and against Superman. He was later exposed by Lois Lane and later placed in custody.^[1]

X-K[edit | hide]

In 2021, after Tal-Rho's exploits in Smallville, Karnowsky was able to acquire X-Kryptonite from the Shuster Mines and discovered its body-enhancing properties. Soon afterwards, Karnowsky himself took some of the drugs, giving him the physiology to fight Superman and the Supermen of America before being arrested by the latter.^[2]

X-Kryptonite Mutations: By taking a small dose of X-Kryptonite, Karnowsky was able to temporarily mutate his body to wield Kryptonian-like abilities.^[2]
- Superhuman Durability: While not completely invulnerable, Karnowsky had the ability to withstand punches from Superman without any visible injuries.^[2]
- Superhuman Strength: Karnowsky was able to create powerful punches from his bare hands against Superman.^[2]
