Gary Green was a former agent of the Time Bureau, later a member of the Legends of Tomorrow and the former apprentice of the Master of the Dark Arts, John Constantine.
Gary was later revealed to have been a Necrian in disguise, hired by Bishop to kidnap notable individuals on Earth for his plan to prevent another cataclysmic event similar to the destruction of Earth. Gary soon reformed and assisted Sara's escape, allowing them to return to Earth and rejoin the Legends of Tomorrow.

Powers
- Necrian Physiology: As a Necrian, Gary has different powers.
- Regenerative Tentacles: Gary has tentacles that are able to withstand Human strength.[5] The tentacles are also regenerative and are both part and separated from Gary, similar to that of starfishes and earthworms.[3]
- Strength: Gary's tentacles are strong and are able to grab people easily.
- Shapeshifting: Gary was able to retain his Human form before leaving his chrysalis, as shown when his glasses fall off after being killed by Atropos. Additionally, according to John Constantine, Gary is able to use "Alien Magic", meaning he was able to use magic in order to maintain his Human form.[5]
- Bodily Contortion: Gary's body is able to squeeze through small holes, similar to an octopus.
- Regenerative Tentacles: Gary has tentacles that are able to withstand Human strength.[5] The tentacles are also regenerative and are both part and separated from Gary, similar to that of starfishes and earthworms.[3]
- Magic/Alien Magic: Using his last wish from Fairy Godmother, Gary became the apprentice of John Constantine and studied magic. However, his magic abilities were mostly unsuccessful. Later, John Constantine revealed that Gary's Necrian physiology also gifted him with Alien Magic.[5]
- Teleportation: Gary attempted to teleport to John Constantine's manor, however, it backfired and altered his walking direction.
- Direction Manipulation: As a result of the backfiring, Gary walked backwards until John reversed the spell.
- Door Access: Gary is able to open doors. However, he is not well using it and was able to partially unlock the door through the removal of the door knob.
- Inter-Dimensional Travel: Gary is able to teleport himself and whoever touches him to Hell with the limit of 4 hours.
- Glamour: Gary is able to hide the rings of the Loom of Fate using a simple glamour trick.[6]
- Pyrokinesis: Gary has the ability to create small flames from his hands. However, they retain their temperature and induced pain in him before he could extinguish the flame in a barrel of water.[7]
- Teleportation: Gary attempted to teleport to John Constantine's manor, however, it backfired and altered his walking direction.

- Occult Knowledge: As an apprentice to John Constantine, Gary was taught about the occult world and the mystic arts.[9]
- Alchemy: Using a strand of J. Edgar Hoover's hair, Gary was able to create a Glamour Potion to allow Nate to operate as Hoover.[10]

- Glasses: Gary wears an image inducer in the form of a pair of glasses in order to appear as a human and speak English.[5]
- IGCOM: Gary possesses a circular intergalactic communication device.[11]

- Time Courier: As a former agent of the Time Bureau, Gary was issued a Time Courier as a method of Time Travel.
