The ProtoTrap is a device created by Lena Luthor to capture Phantoms.

During the Phantoms' attack on National City, Lena Luthor combined a DEO ProtoGun and L-Corp Portal Energy, forming the ProtoTrap which is capable of sending Phantoms to the Sub-Containment Unit at Tower. The Super Friends then used the ProtoTrap and captured the Prime Phantom, setting innocent people's Life-Froce free from the Chrysalis.[1]
