Mick Rory (died December 10, 2019) was a Legend, novelist and the owner of the Waverider.

    Biography

At some point of his life, Mick joined the Legends and had a bond with the Waverider's A.I. Leonard. Later, the team disbanded after one of their members died. Mick took the ship as his residence and tried to be a romance novelist with self-published works such as the Caged Passion.[2]

    Crisis on Infinite Earths

During the Crisis, Harbinger went to Earth-74 to use the supposedly abandoned Waverider. However, her assumption was incorrect and was greeted by Leonard. As she talks to him, Mick appears with his Heat and Cold Gun threatening to kill her. Harbinger told him she thought the ship was abandoned. Mick told her that an unnamed Legend died which caused the team to disband, leaving the ship to Mick. Leonard then told her that Mick is trying to be a romance novelist, which resulted in an argument. Harbinger stopped the both of them and promised Mick that he can drink plenty of beer if he agrees to lend the Waverider to the heroes of Earth-1.[2]

    Taking Care of Jonathan

As Mick joins the heroes of Earth-1 for The Monitor's meeting, Jonathan Kent started to cry and interrupted The Monitor's speech. Lois failed to calm him down and passed to her husband. As he failed, he passed on to Kara and eventually to Mick. Mick smiled at the baby and calmed him down. Lois then told Mick to leave for Jonathan to sleep.[2]

When Ray tried to build a Paragon Detector, Mick read his novel to Jonathan. Ray then told him that he needed a quiet place to work, and the book does not sound too "kid-friendly". Mick objected and told him that kids love it. He carries Jonathan out and kept on reading the book.[2]

As Clark Kent of Earth-96 arrives, Mick passed Jonathan back to Lois and Lois showed Clark.[2]

Hours before the destruction of Earth-1, Mick was taking care of Jonathan. Eventually, Mick was vaporized along with the rest of Earth-1.[1]
