===Facing the Mole Hill Mob=== |

In 1966, Batman and Robin were called on the Bat-Phone by the Gotham City Police Department after they couldn't figure out a riddle left to them by The Riddler, after he had blew up a friendship cake at the Gotham City World's Fair which read, "Why is an orange like a bell". The pair suited up and went to the GCPD Headquarters in the Batmobile to solve the riddle where Robin worked it out to be because they both must be peeled meaning that he is at the Peale Art Gallery. |

They arrived in the batmobile and scaled the wall to the window of Gideon Peale's Office where they saw Peale apparently being held at gunpoint by The Riddler. They removed the iron bars and broke through the window only for The Riddler to run out of the office and down the hall. Batman threw a smoke pellet at him which caused him to fall over a suit of armour where he was quickly apprehended for armed robbery, with Batman placing the Bat-Cuffs on him. However, it was soon revealed that this had been a trap with Gideon Peale explaining that he was returning the cross to him after being lent it for a show and The Riddler explaining that the "gun" was nothing more than a lighter. Batman was then handed a lawsuit alleging assault, slander and false arrest by The Riddler who walked out of the room while maniacally laughing. |

One day in 1966, the Dynamic Duo were contacted by the GCPD after a riddle was left for them at the Gotham City World's Fair by Riddler. Upon arriving at GCPD Headquarters, the pair soon discovered that the answer to the riddle was meant to lead them to the Peale Art Gallery, and so the pair travelled there alone after realizing it was likely a trap. After seeing Gideon Peale supposedly being held at gunpoint, the pair burst through the window and apprehended Riddler, but they were soon served with lawsuit papers after it was revealed that the gun was actually just a cigarrette lighter. |
Returning home to Wayne Manor, Bruce and Dick discussed the likelihood of Batman having to reveal his secret identity in court due to the lawsuit, before Dick realized that there were two more riddles hidden on the paperwork. Using the Chemo-Electric Secret Writing Detector, the pair discovered that the riddles spelled out the address of 222 Glover Avenue, and so they travelled there to discover that it was the address of the What a Way to Go-Go discotheque. After Robin was denied entry due to being too young, he parked the Batmobile and watched from the Bat-Scope as Batman went in. Once inside, Batman ordered an orange juice and began to dance with a young woman named Molly, before collapsing after realizing that his drink had been drugged. |
They then returned to Wayne Manor to discuss the lawsuit where Dick remembered that The Riddler had said, "When you've chewed over this one, look for two others" and figured out that he had hidden two riddles on the paper which was later confirmed with a machine in the Batcave. The two riddles where, "When is the time of a clock like the whistle of a train" which meant when it's 2 to 2:00 and "What has neither flesh, bone, nor nail, yet has four fingers and a thumb?", which meant a glove. These riddles together made "222 Glover Avenue" and so they headed out in the batmobile to that address where they found the What a Way to Go-Go discotheque. |
Meanwhile, Riddler used a dart gun to render Robin unconscious and attempted to steal the Batmobile, though he was unsuccessful due to anti-theft measures. He then attempted to set fire to the car, which was similarly unsuccessful, before escaping down a manhole with Robin and the Molehill Mob. They then took him to their headquarters, where he was strapped to a surgical table. Just after their escape, Batman woke up and went to search for Robin in the Batmobile, but he was prevented from doing so by a police officer, who confiscated his keys after stating that he was in no condition to drive. |
Once there, they discussed what The Riddler wanted with them coming to the conclusion that he wanted to rob the wealthy patrons inside. They went to get out of the batmobile, but the doorman stopped them and said Robin couldn't come in due to him being underage and so Batman went in alone while Robin parked the batmobile and watched from the bat-scope. |
Once inside, Batman went to the bar and ordered orange juice before meeting Molly who suggested that they dance in the form of a riddle. Batman was then handed his orange juice by the bartender and drank it before learning the woman's name and accepting her offer. He began to dance using his signature move, the Batusi, before collapsing due to the drink being poisoned. |
Robin then went to get out of the batmobile to help before being shot with a dart gun by The Riddler which knocked him unconscious. The Riddler then got into the batmobile with the intention of stealing it, but he accidentally pressed the anti-theft button which shot fireworks from the vehicle which alerted the GCPD. He quickly ran out of the vehicle and grabbed Robin along with Harry and threw a firebomb into the batmobile, but the fire was quickly put out by the vehicle. They then carried Robin down a secret entrance in the ground to their headquarters. |
Batman then awoke and ran to the batmobile to save Robin but was stopped by two police officers who requested his keys as he was in no state to drive, and so he handed them over. Just then, Commissioner Gordon activated the Bat Signal at city hall, with the police officers at the batmobile deciding that it would be kinder not to tell him in his current state. |
Once at their headquarters, the Mole Hill Mob members strapped Robin to a stretcher with surgical equipment on an attached table and The Riddler delivered a speech to the unconscious hero. |
