At some point during Superman's reign of terror, John Henry Irons and Natalie Lane Irons stole the device from Luthor Corp. However, the device was not reprogrammed before being used in action, causing it to mistake John as Captain Luthor.[3]
New World[edit | hide]
During a battle between Superman and Irons, Irons was sent to another universe. Irons and the A.I. then worked together in search of Green Kryptonite in order to kill Superman of that universe. After their first confrontation, the A.I. greeted Irons as Captain Luthor and informed him about how there are no more Green Kryptonite left.[2]
Days later, the A.I. searched for Kryptonite all over Earth but failed to find any. Irons later attacked the DOD with his remote controlled war suit. The A.I. then told Irons that the Kal-El they are encountering is not the same as that of their home universe.[4]
Damaged[edit | hide]
When the A.I. attempted to remind Irons that the Lois of the new world is not the same as his wife. However, the A.I. annoyed Irons and Irons threw her on the ground, damaging it in order to shut her up.[5]
New Beginnings[edit | hide]
Weeks later, the A.I. was repaired by Irons and was told to assist his construction of Solar Flares. Afterward, Irons encountered Superman and was arrested by the DOD, where he was interrogated.[3] However, the A.I. and the Auto-Drive RV were kept in the Kent Barn. Jonathan Kent and Lois Lane then asked for information regarding Irons' past, with Jonathan later searching individually and discovering weapons, triggering the security system of the RV and nearly killed by the A.I.[6]
Irons was then released from custody and promised to work with the DOD in the upcoming war against Morgan Edge. The A.I. and Irons then started their journey leaving Smallville with Irons creating a new profile for himself instead of continuing to be mistaken as Captain Luthor.[6]
