    Multiverse[edit | hide | hide all]

How do we know this universe was destroyed in Crisis part three? There was never any indication that it was part of the Pre-Crisis multiverse, it could just as easily have been part of the Post-Crisis multiverse. Also, shouldn't Batman Forever and Batman and Robin be two different universes?

I don't know, but if I was in charge of making a coherent multiverse I would keep them separate. It's too confusing that we have Val Kilmer and George Clooney being the same version of Batman. That's just dumb...that being said if that's really how it is then whatever I guess, but I don't see the evidence that this was a Pre-Crisis Earth. There was a Pre-Crisis version of the Tim Burton movies, that was Earth-89. We only know for sure that the only thing different about it was that the Joker was alive in that version. Clearly he dies in the Post-Crisis version, which I suspect is the universe we'll be seeing in the upcoming Flash movie.

My final thoughts: Isn't also possible we'll be seeing this Earth as well, and if we do, that probably means it would be Post-Crisis right? I don't know, I suppose Flash could probably traverse alternate timelines as well, making it possible for him to visit the Pre-Crisis multiverse and Post-Crisis alike. I guess my real question is, what led to the decision to call this a Pre-Crisis universe? -- Noah Tall (talk) 23:24, 30 June 2022 (UTC)

Earth-97 was first confirmed to be a separate universe from Earth-89 during Crisis Aftermath by one of the producers stating that Arnold Schwarzenegger's Mr. Freeze resides there. That confirms that Earth-97 is in the Original Multiverse, as Crisis Aftermath was aired before the creation of the New Multiverse. As for whether Batman Forever and Batman & Robin are part of the same universe, one of the Burtonverse producers replied to a tweet by a fan asking whether the both Schumacher films were canon to that universe, and he responded in a way that suggests they are. If you're looking for any more information, it would be a good idea to join our Discord Server as I will be able to respond much more quickly there.  TheDemon08Talk 07:33, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
