The Shade[edit | hide]
When Swift's brother, Richard, gained superhuman abilities and became the "Shade", he abandoned his family and left their ill father in the care of Swift. Eventually, both their father and Swift herself passed away, with Richard staying alive after decades with his immortality.[1]
