Swamp Thing is a web television series based on the DC Comics character Swamp Thing.
The series is developed by Gary Dauberman and Mark Verheiden, who both served as showrunner. The first and only season premiered on May 31, 2019 before being cancelled by DC Universe after the Pilot (Swamp Thing). The remaining episodes were then released on the subscription service and later went on rerun on The CW.
Swamp Thing made a cameo appearance in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event and was retroactively established to take place on Earth-19.
Synopsis
Swamp Thing follows Abby Arcane as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe.[1]
