"Superman" is the first short film of the 1941 Superman Cartoon series. It was released on September 26, 1941.

This short showcases the first instance of Superman being able to fly in any medium.
This short was nominated for the category of Best Animated-Short at the 1942 Academy Awards.
The Daily Planet building in this short resembles the Empire State Building. It does not have the famous globe on the top of the building until later in the series.
