Power-Dampening Cuffs, also known as Meta-Cuffs[1] are a series of cuffs with power-dampening technology.

    History

At some point, power-dampening cuffs were made to disable Metahumans' powers after the first Particle Accelerator Explosion in 2013 and Barry Allen becoming The Flash.

Later, another series of cuffs were made to disable aliens with dangerous powers and abilities.

    Design

The cuffs is thicker than normal cuffs and light will be emitted when locked which means the power-dampening device is activated. The alien cuffs are larger than those for Metahumans as aliens often have a larger physic than humanoids.

    Functions

    • Power Dampening: The cuffs dampens the powers of aliens, Metahumans and Cyborgs.

    Weaknesses

    • Forces of Nature: The cuffs does not work of Metahumans that connected to the universal forces, with Psych easily disabling the cuffs.[2]
    • Zoltarians: Zoltarians' abilities to create an EMP field is able to overpower the cuffs.[3]
