The Doom Force, as coined by Cliff Steele, was a group of superpowered individuals created by Niles Caulder. Originally reluctant to operate as "superheroes" and simply aimed to rescue Caulder from Mr. Nobody, the team stepped up and occasionally rescued the world from extranormal activities such as the Candlemaker. The team later protected Cloverton from Robotman's uncontrolled body and decided to finally work together under the leadership of Rita Farr
