“ | Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! Look, up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Superman! Yes, it's Superman, strange visitor from another planet, who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. Superman, who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel in his bare hands, and who, disguised as Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights a never-ending battle for truth, justice and the American way. |

Adventures of Superman is a television series based on the DC Comics character, Superman.
The series is developed by Robert J. Maxwell. The first season premiered on September 19, 1952, and was followed by the second season on September 18, 1953, with both filmed in black-and-white. Starting with the third season, which premiered on April 23, 1955, the series was filmed in color. This continued with the fourth and fifth seasons on February 18, 1956, and March 8, 1957, respectively. The sixth season premiered on February 3, 1958, and concluded on April 28, 1958. With the sudden deaths of two of the main cast members, John Hamilton and George Reeves, the series underwent several plans to continue further with additional seasons starting in 1960. However, such plans were never implemented, and the series was cancelled, concluding the sixth-season run with a total of 104 episodes.
In the DC Extended Universe film, The Flash (2023 Film), George Reeves' portrayal of Superman was included through the use of CGI, retroactively establishing the series to have taken place in the same multiverse as other DC projects.
