    S.T.A.R. Labs Central City Facility (Earth-1: Pre-Crisis)

S.T.A.R. Labs Central City Facility, briefly known as S.T.A.R. Museum, was the main facility of the organization and the base of operations of Team Flash.

    History[edit source]

    Rooms[edit source]

The following only includes information on rooms of the facility before being converted to the Flash Museum, for the rooms of the Flash Museum, see here, However, the following includes information on the version used by Superman (John Deegan) during the second Elseworlds of Earth-1 and the one used by the Legion of Doom in the Doomworld.

    Level 600[edit source]

    Cortex[edit source]

The cortex is where Team Flash has team briefings and communicate with Barry in the field. The front of the cortex also includes a mannequin to hold The Flash Suit until Barry received the Flash Ring from Nora which allows him to bring his suit with him everywhere. However, he occasionally puts the suit on the mannequin. The mannequin room also includes a switch for the Babel Protocol to engage a force-field around S.T.A.R. Labs in case Barry goes rogue.[1]

In the Doomworld, Eobard Thawne never lost the ownership of the facility and converted the cortex into his own office with the mannequin room as a prison cell for Black Flash.[2]

In the second Elseworlds of Earth-1, John Deegan turned into Superman and converted the cortex was his command center for his organization with the former mannequin gone.[3]

    Med Lab[edit source]

Caitlin has a medical lab with state-of-the-art technologies that allows her to run detailed tastings on Metahumans and patients. In the center of the room, an advanced brain scanner is installed and is able to diagnose inter-dimensional diseases like the side effects of timeline alterations doing to Vibers.

In the Doomworld, Eobard Thawne never lost the ownership of the facility and converted the medical lab as part of the office.[2]

In the second Elseworlds of Earth-1, John Deegan turned into Superman and converted the medical lab into part of his command center.[3]

    "Harrison Wells"' Office[edit source]

During Wells' (disguised by Eobard Thawne) ownership of the facility, he has an office where he plays chess with his protégées in different times. After his existence being temporarily erased, the office was converted into part of the medical lab which was not reverted due to Thawne being exposed as a villain.

In the Doomworld, Eobard Thawne never lost the ownership of the facility and kept the office as part of his new one.[2]

In the second Elseworlds of Earth-1, John Deegan turned into Superman and converted the office into part of his command center.[3]

    Speed Testing Lab[edit source]

After Barry got his powers, Cisco made a treadmill to let Barry train. After the Flashpoint, Barry resets the timeline and the treadmill was moved to the Speed Lab while the room became part of Caitlin's medical lab.[4]

    Workshop[edit source]

Cisco has a workshop under Level 600 after he returned to Team Flash, and he creates different gadgets such as the Inter-Dimensional Extrapolator and his suit. When Harry Wells returned to Earth-1, Cisco and Harry often argues in the workshop. Harry also created the Thinking Cap which allowed him to assist Team Flash on strategies. Inside the workshop, it has an operational Flight 2000 pinball machine which is secretly a storage device for the Velocity Serums. During Sherloque Wells' stay on Earth-1, he used the computers of the workshop to decode Nora's journal.

In the Doomworld, Eobard Thawne never lost the ownership of the facility and used the workshop to store the ATOM Exosuit taken from Ray Palmer.[2]

    Basement[edit source]

The basement has a Forcefield Generator and was used to trap Eobard Thawne. After their successful imprisonment, Harrison Wells (disguised by Eobard Thawne) called CCPD to lock him up. However, Eobard escaped the force-field and killed the soldiers.

After Team Flash discovered a breach in their basement, they asked Jay Garrick to build a Speed Cannon to stabilize the breach and allow them to travel to Earth-2. Soon, the basement is redesigned with a strengthened door and is repurposed for inter-dimensional travels.

In the Doomworld, Eobard Thawne never lost the ownership of the facility and converted the basement as a giant burner to destroy the Spear of Destiny.[2]

    Morgue[edit source]

The "morgue" was designed to place dead prisoners of the Pipeline. During the second particle accelerator explosion, Girder was resurrected and attacked Team Flash.

    Parking Lot[edit source]

Despite the parking lot outside of the building, the building also includes an indoor room to park several mobile research unit. During Blackout's attack, Team Flash escaped to the parking lot and later defeated him.[5]

    Starchives[edit source]

After Barry became The Flash, the Starchives were created to store Flash related items such as destroyed suits and the Time Sphere.

    Pipeline (Particle Accelerator)[edit source]

For more information, see the full page.

    Lounge[edit source]

Despite being in the facility for 5 years, the team never found out about the lounge. Which allows Joe West to sleep in during Cecile Horton's pregnancy which annoyed Joe as her powers kept on tampering with his mind. When Nora arrived from 2049, she briefly lived there until Sherloque's arrival forced her to move to the West-Allen Loft. After nobody is in use of the lounge, the team occasionally has team briefings there, and they witnessed the start of the Crisis in it while saying goodbye to Barry. On Frost's "birthday", she invited her friends for a party along with the surprised Team Flash.

    Storage Closet[edit source]

Despite having a larger storage room, the facility also includes a storage closet with metal fences that used to store the Cold Gun.

    Lobby[edit source]

Before being shut down, the facility used to hold press conferences in the lobby and allow people to visit. During H.R. Wells' stay on Earth-1, he drafted a plan to turn the facility into S.T.A.R. Labs Museum as a decoy for the base of operations. H.R. renovated the lobby and built a flawed hologram of Cisco Ramon welcoming guests.

    Bedroom[edit source]

After the final breach between Earth-1 and -2 was closed, Harry and his daughter Jesse were stranded on Earth-1. The team allowed them to stay in the facility and lent them a room. However, Jesse decided she should leave and see the world which left Harry alone living in the room.

    Gym[edit source]

    Timeline/Reality Alterations Additional Rooms[edit source]

    Time Vault[edit source]

When Eobard Thawne got stranded in the 2000/2010s, he built the facility with a secret advanced room known as the Time Vault. He added a mannequin to store his suit and the gadgets that are connected to the suit. In the interior of the room, it has a platform that can activate Gideon. After the team erased him out of existence (which he later returned due to time paradoxes), the vault was primarily used by Harry Wells after 3 years of being offline. A year after Harry returned to Earth-2, the room was subsequently used by Sherloque Wells and Nora West-Allen to decode and send messages of her journal respectively.

In the Doomworld, Eobard Thawne never lost the ownership of the facility and a secret room is not needed for him.[2]

In the second Elseworlds of Earth-1, John Deegan turned into Superman and converted the Time Vault as the Fortress of Solitude. According to his employee, it is where he keeps something valuable.[3]

    Speed Lab[edit source]

After Flashpoint, Barry reset the timeline and the original design of the speed testing lab was moved to the Speed Lab after it was created.
