Man of Steel is a 2013 film based on the DC Comics character, Superman, and the first film in the DC Extended Universe. It premiered on June 10, 2013, in the Alice Tully Hall and on June 14, 2013, in the United States and United Kingdom.
The film stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne and Russell Crowe, and is directed by Zack Snyder with screenplay by David S. Goyer and story by Goyer and Christopher Nolan. A follow-up titled "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" was released on March 25, 2016.
