Kent Nelson[2] was the vigilante known as Doctor Fate and a member of the Justice Society of America.

At some point, Kent Nelson became a vigilante and a member of the Justice Society of America under the alias of Doctor Fate. Whilst on the team, he befriended Stripesy.[3]
Some time later, he, alongside Green Lantern, Hawkman, Hawkgirl and the Spectre, fought Eclipso. However, they failed to defeat him and some members of the JSA were forced to vote on whether to kill his host, Bruce Gordon.[4]
Battle of Los Angeles[edit source]
After the decision to kill Eclipso, the Justice Society began to break apart, with the members drifting away from each other over time. They eventually reformed after their arch-enemies, the Injustice Society of America, did the same, but they were never the same afterward.[4]
On December 24, 2010, Doctor Fate and the rest of the Justice Society were lured into a battle at an abandoned mansion by the Injustice Society. He was presumably killed in the battle alongside most of his teammates,[1] and his helmet was placed in the JSA headquarters.[3]
