    Kate Kane (Earth-Prime)

For other uses of Batwoman, see Batman (Disambiguation).

We all wear a mask of some kind. A cowl, a husband, wife, denial, anger. We all need our shield to protect us from the world. But for people like us, it's not always about stopping a runaway train or disarming a bomb. Sometimes, the best way to save someone is to be yourself.
    — Kate Kane[src]

Katherine "Kate" Kane is the former acting CEO of Wayne Enterprises and the founder of Gotham Pride Real Estate and The Hold Up. Kane is also the daughter of Jacob and Gabi Kane, the step-daughter of Catherine Hamilton-Kane, the sister of Beth Kane and the step-sister of Mary Hamilton, as well as the cousin of Bruce Wayne.

In secret, she operated as the vigilante known as Batwoman, taking up her missing cousin's mantle until she was kidnapped by Black Mask after Whisper sabotaged her plane flight. Kane was then brainwashed into thinking that she was Roman's deceased daughter, Circe Sionis and confronted the Bat-Team. Eventually, her mind was restored despite her continue to wear the face of Circe. Kane officially passed on the mantle of Batwoman to Ryan Wilder before leaving Gotham in search of her cousin, Bruce Wayne.
