Years after his retirement he celebrated the 42nd birthday of his elder son Jay. At his house but during the celebration he criticized the career choice of his younger son Barry because he doesn't like "lab coats". Though his Nora reminded him that it's not a good way to treat Barry. Days later, Jay was murdered by Nicholas Pike, and he went to his funeral with Barry. When Barry expressed hatred toward Pike and swore that he will bring Pike to justice, Henry mocked him because his lab coat can't do anything about it. Days later, when Pike was arrested, they celebrated his arrest at their house and when it comes to know where was Barry, Eve answered that he was outside with Shawn Allen.
