Biography[edit source]
Early Life[edit source]
Alex Danvers was born to Jeremiah and Eliza Danvers. In her teenage years, the family adopted Kara Zor-El after her crash on Earth. Danvers and Kara then developed a strong bond and had a close relationship.[3]
At some point prior to 2009, Danvers attended Stanford College and occasionally returned to Midvale to ensure Kara's safety.[4]
2009[edit source]
On May 25, 2009, Danvers, Kara and Kenny Li had a conversation in a diner and were interrupted by a crashing spacecraft. They then investigated the crash site, only to find two aliens dressed in formal outfits, not knowing they were their future teammates. The trio then assisted the aliens to hide their spacecraft and let them sleep with them until they can return to their "home".[4]
Life in the DEO[edit source]
In 2015, Danvers was onboard Flight 237 on the way to Geneva. However, the aircraft malfunctioned, and the plane crashed in midair above National City. Kara then revealed herself to the public and rescued the plane, landing it in the harbor with no casualties.[5]
Later, Danvers was promoted by J'onn J'onzz as director. Some time during her time as an agent, she was immersed in a sealed tank with water and was able to escape afterward.[6]
In 2017, during Barry Allen and Iris West's wedding, Danvers had a "fling" with Sara Lance.[7]
In 2019, Danvers met Kelly Olsen and began a relationship with her.[8]
Crisis on Infinite Earths[edit source]
In January 2020, Danvers arrived at Kara's loft and was attacked by her heat vision. Kara then woke up from her sleep and apologized to Danvers as she was still confused over the events during the Crisis. Danvers then returned to the DEO headquarters, later informing Kara about a Metahuman attack on the shore. J'onn J'onzz then restored Danvers' Pre-Crisis counterpart's memories, allowing her to understand that the owner of the DEO, Lex Luthor, in in fact a villain.[9]
Later, Danvers fought against countless Shadow Demons alongside other heroes. She then returned to Kara's loft and attended a moment of silence for Oliver Queen.[9]
Luthor and Leviathan[edit source]
Brainiac 5s of the Multiverse[edit source]
Weeks after the Crisis, Brainy returned to work with another version of himself. As Danvers attempted to ask them which of the two is the Brainiac 5 she knows, another Brainiac 5 entered and informed the agents that she is the director of the DEO. Danvers then told her that she is the director while more versions revealed themselves, with one of them dying in front of them, telling them to prevent "him" from opening the Bottle.[10]
Danvers then examined the body of the eye patched Brainiac 5 along other Brainiac 5s, later discovering the cause of death was the Anti-Life Equation.[10]
Toyman Fiasco[edit source]
When Winn Schott returned from the future to protect his legacy, Danvers was present during the fight against Toyman. Danvers was also able to see an ally of Toyman and tasked Brainy to identify the person. However, due to Brainy working with Lex Luthor in order to defeat Leviathan, he was "unable" to and Danvers continued the fight alongside the team. Danvers and the team later celebrated at a karaoke after defeating Toyman for the first time.[11]
When the DEO found out that Toyman was able to escape death into digital codes, Danvers attempted to use DEO technology in order to find him. Knowing Luthor can watch from the system, Danvers planted spyware on her tablet (later removed by Brainy) and continued the investigation. After the battle, Danvers realizes that she can no longer work under Luthor's orders and quits the DEO[12]
While talking to her sister about their past, Kara was approached by Mxyzptlk in order to make amends for his previous visit. As Kara agrees, Danvers and J'onzz were sent to a paintball game in order for private time.[13]
Obsidian Platinum[edit source]
After quitting the DEO, Danvers and J'onzz worked together to find the person responsible for the attack on Andrea Rojas. The two were then able to locate the person's lair and found out the attacker was the wife of an Obsidian Platinum addict who committed suicide, leading to her attacks. Danvers then received a Martian weapon from J'onn.[14]
Days later, Danvers and J'onzz were sought help by Al Crane, whose brother had been missing for days. Danvers then entered the Obsidian Platinum platform through Kelly Olsen's assistance. On the platform, Danvers was able to find a castle where Crane is located. Danvers then entered, only to find out other people were also trapped. She then faced her fears and trauma to rescue them, later entering a hallway where he was located. However, he was "programmed" to explode every few minutes, preventing Danvers from approaching and rescue him. Danvers then used the gun on her uniform created by the platform as a weapon and fought against the kidnapper, Richard Bates.[6]

On the platform, Danvers became Supergirl and fought crimes. As a side effect of the realistic visuals, Danvers slowly adapts to the environment and was unable to leave. Olsen was then able to find Danvers' eyes turning red and tried the regular Obsidian North extraction procedures, with none of them working. Olsen then edited the source codes of the platform and forced Danvers to stop a crime robbery, later finding out it was a teenage version of herself. Despite the attempts, Danvers continued to reject the reality and was disbelieving what teenage Danvers said until she sees her father. She then fought against NPCs and successfully escape the platform.[3]
Knowing she was trying to escape reality the whole time, Danvers accepted her father's death and attended the funeral in Midvale, forgiving his mistakes for not being a good father to her.[3]
Vigilantism[edit source]
Soon, Danvers began extensive training using the Hand of the Soldier. However, her missing her past as the director of DEO caused her to lose focus and was unable to activate the hand. Danvers then left the Tower, continuing her investigation on Leviathan. Kara and Danvers later approached Pete Andrews, who had information in the library. However, the two were shot at by assassins and Danvers returned home discouraged. Olsen later talked to her, telling her that is she wants to act like a superhero, she should dress like one.[15]
When called to Kara's loft, Danvers showed her the new suit and how she was going to become a vigilante. Danvers then teamed up with "Supergirl" (disguised by Miss Martian) and fought several Leviathan members. The two then reunited with Kara at the Luthor Corp Headquarters and discussed their next move. The team split once more with Danvers, M'orzz, J'onzz and Nal fighting the elemental benders with Kara and Lena Luthor staying in Obsidian Platinum to convince those trapped to voluntarily log out of the platform. As the offense team gets overwhelmed by Leviathan, they disappeared thanks to Querl Dox.[16]
