Waylon Jones was a professional wrestler who suffered from an unidentified infection, causing his body to mutate and resemble the appearance of a crocodile. Using the name Killer Croc, Jones became an enemy of Batman before the GCPD successfully murdered him, leaving only a tooth as his remains.

Early Life[edit | hide]
Waylon Jones was a professional wrestler before turning to the life of crime. At some point, he started suffering from an unidentified infection that mutated his body and caused his skin to grow scales. Further mutations also occurred and gave him an elongated jaw, claws and tails, resembling the appearance of a crocodile.[1]
Killer "Croc" Rampage[edit | hide]
In the early 2000s, Jones started battling Batman and the latter took pity on his mutations. Despite attempting to find a cure for Jones' infection, the GCPD acted impulsively and released thermite in the sewers, before lighting a primer cord and destroyed Jones' body. The only remains of him became a tooth, which Batman kept in the Batcave for two decades.[1]
Legacy[edit | hide]
The tooth was later stolen by "Circe Sionis" and given to Black Mask.[2] Unfortunately, following Black Mask's failed plan to destroy Gotham, the tooth alongside other Batman trophies were scattered across the city, with Steven being the victim to the infection and became the second Killer Croc.[1][3]
