General Sam Lane was a military general and a member of the Resistance against Superman.

Early Life[edit source]
At some point, Lane joined the army against Superman and led a group of soldiers including John Henry Irons.[1]
Death[edit source]
Later, his group of soldiers was attacked by Superman. Superman used his heat vision and successfully killed countless soldiers as well as injuring Lane. Moments before his death, he gave his badge marked "Hell" on the back to Irons, which was given to his doppelgänger.[1]
