“ | All of my life, I have felt like a fraud. All of my life, I have been the imposter masquerading as Rita Farr. But, one day, you crazy bunch of misfits who are just like me, came into my life. I say fսck Niles Caulder for most things but... not this. He gave me you. My family. I know you don't think we deserve anything good. But one thing I know we do deserve is the love that we have for each other. Well, had, before the Butts screwed us up, and then that weird testicle monster thing. But the point is... you accept me. The real me, whether I blob or triumph, you were always the place that I returned to. You were my home. | ” |
— Rita Farr to the Doom Patrol[src]

Rita Vivian Farr,[4] born Gertrude "Gertie" Cramp,[12] was a renowned actor in the 1950s who was exposed to an unknown toxin who transformed her body cells, giving her abilities to elasticize and contort her body. Farr is also the daughter of Vance and Addie Cramp.
For decades, Farr lived under the care of Niles Caulder in Doom Manor as Elasti-Woman, where she slowly recovered to gain control over her abilities. Unfortunately, she did not succeed despite working extensively for decades. She eventually joined forces with other residents in the manor and formed a team against Mister Nobody. After Nobody's defeat, Farr began to develop a higher self esteem and faced her past traumas, briefly becoming the vigilante, Beekeeper, of Cloverton.
Months later, Farr hijacked Madame Rouge's time machine and travelled to 1917, joining the Sisterhood of Dada with her memories disappeared. She lived in an unfamiliar time period for decades as Bendy and began a relationship with Malcolm DuPont, though turned to oppose De Mille after she betrayed the sisterhood. Farr returned to 2021 soon afterward, forcing her team against De Mille. In the end, Farr decided to work with De Mille to lead the Doom Patrol, under the code name Elasti-Woman.
