    Pamela Isley (Earth-Prime)

What do you think kept me alive for 10 years, Renee? I had no water, no sunlight, no human contact. I thought I was going to die there, so what single thought do you think I held on to for every waking moment of every brutal day? You.
    — Pamela Isley to Renee Montoya[src]

Pamela "Pam" Isley[1] is a botany student at Gotham University turned criminal after gaining exceptional abilities. Isley then operated as Poison Ivy against Batman and was eventually placed in a place with no water or sunlight under Renee Montoya's orders.

    Biography[edit source]

    Becoming Poison Ivy[edit source]

In 2001, Pamela Isley studied botany at Gotham University and met Renee Montoya, a criminal law student, and fell in love with each other. However, their relationship was strained when Isley was experimented on by her classmate Marc Legrand. Isley was affected and gained exceptional powers, using it to punish anyone damaging the planet. Isley and Montoya, who became a police officer, grew further apart . In 2011, Isley was found by Renee and her partner and killed a police officer. Eventually, Isley was placed somewhere with no water or sunlight, under Montoya's orders protecting the world from the Poison Ivy's dangerous abilities.[1]

Batman later confiscated some of her vines, which were stored in the Batcave until being stolen in 2021 by "Circe Sionis" and given to Safiyah Sohail who intended to use it to duplicate the last remaining Desert Rose.[3]

The vines were later thrown into the Gotham River during a fight between Ryan Wilder, Alice and "Circe Sionis" before beginning to grow when reaching land the next morning.[4]

    Notes[edit source]

    • The character description for Poison Ivy is the following: "A former botany student at Gotham University, Pamela "was a passionate, brilliant scientist with a mind for changing the world for the better. But her plans shifted when she was experimented on by a colleague, injected with various plant toxins which turned her into the infamous Batman villain Poison Ivy. With a formidable power coursing through her veins, Pamela used her powers to do what she thought was right… even if Batman and those closest to her disagreed with her dangerous methods. Now effectively wiped off the board for years, Batwoman and the Bat-Team must prepare themselves for Poison Ivy to return with a vengeance."
