Joseph "Joe" Kline was a reporter of WCCN who often referred himself as "The Voice of the City".[1]
Biography[edit source]
The Dark Riders attack[edit source]
In 1990, Joe Kline invited Arthur Cooper to his show in order to interview him about the Dark Riders and express some concern about the new police squad that will bring them down.[1]
The Fires[edit source]
During the period where multiple fires happened in Central City, he tried to interview Arthur Simonson after his trial where he pointed out that despite being considered "non-guilty", he still ran an illegal casino. Simonson then replied that one day, Kline would lose his voice.[2]
Day of the Dead Festival[edit source]
During early November 1990, Joe informed the city about the upcoming testimony of Peter Paul Aguilar that could reveal some shocking information about Reuben Calderon being Central City's notorious drug lord. When the trial was delayed, Joe interviewed the federal prosecutor Marguerite Giarelo about the reason of the delay. When the prosecutor tried to mislead the information, Joe told her if it was true that Calderon held hostage a relative of Aguilar, but she didn't comment on that. A wind then blew them which disoriented them to the point that Joe asked to cut it.[3]
