Jonathan Kent was the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane who was killed by a wave of antimatter during the crisis.
Biography[edit source]
Early Life[edit source]
Jonathan Kent was born in 2019 on Argo City to Clark Kent and Lois Lane[1] who had moved there to avoid straining Lois' health as it was thought that exposure to the yellow sun might have caused him to develop powers in the womb and injure his mother.[2]
Crisis on Infinite Earths[edit source]
Jonathan and his parents were on Argo City when they received a holographic message message from Supergirl warning them that the city was about to be destroyed by a wave of antimatter.
Clark and Lois, with the help of Alura Zor-El, got Jonathan into an escape pod and sent it to Earth just moments before Argo City was destroyed. Despite the evacuation being successful, his pod was knocked off-course into a temporal wormhole and landed on Earth-16.
Lois, Querl Dox and Sara Lance then travelled to Earth-16 to rescue him where they found him inside the Arrowcave being protected by the Green Arrow. Sara then briefly fought Oliver before he recognized her and allowed them to leave with Jonathan.
They then travelled to Earth-1 just before Earth-38 was destroyed where they reunited with Clark. Moments later they witnessed the death of Oliver Queen.[1]
Some time later, Jonathan was on board the Waverider and was handed to Mick Rory while Clark and Lois searched for the Paragon of Truth. Mick decided to read from his novel, Caged Passion, to calm him down, which Ray Palmer pointed out was unsuitable for a child, to which Mick responded that he loved it.
Clark and Lois later returned to the Waverider along with Earth-96's Superman who commented that he looked just like his own son, Jason.[3]
On December 10, 2019, Jonathan was killed by a wave of antimatter alongside the rest of the multiverse, except for the Paragons.[4]
Powers and Abilities[edit source]
Powers[edit source]
- Kryptonian-Human Hybrid Physiology: Jonathan should have possessed the powers of an average Kryptonian when exposed to a yellow sun. However, since he died as a baby it is unknown whether these powers would have manifested.[1]
