The Canaries is a vigilante team active in Star City 2040.

In 2020, Laurel Lance went to 2040 with the help of Sara Lance after Star City was predicted to fall into chaos in 2041. Days after her arrival, she tried to protect Bianca Bertinelli, whose death led to the chaos, from being kidnapped. However, Laurel failed and tried to seek help from Dinah Drake, who was mysteriously sent to the future with his history in the past erased. They both determined they needed more help and restored the memories of Mia Queen.[1]
Later, they attempted to intercept a mysterious package and were defeated by the new Deathstroke's gang. Soon, Laurel talked to Mia about being a hero, and she decided to help again. The trio then suited up for another fight and successfully rescued Bianca. Gathered in the loft, they decided to protect Star City and continue Oliver Queen's mission as the Canaries.[1]
